TV and Film is a very sensitive industry. There aren’t many jobs that exist where you have to kiss or punch or do whacky stunts. So it’s a weird niche as far as the job market goes. This means it needs super strict rules around intimacy and safety that stray from your everyday job. Euphoria is a show where the actors are always speaking up when they don’t feel comfortable with a shot because it’s a show with a lot of nudity. But it’s also a show that can bring out the worst in people. There’s a feud going on between two actors who refused to work together. And also an actor/director feud going on. Henry Cavill has a very strong say over the script for The Witcher and he had the reunion between Geralt and Yennifer completely changed as he refused to film it as planned. In the Marvel Universe (MCU and beyond) Robert Downey Junior’s refusal to say a rather useless line at the end of Avengers prompted a whole scene that wasn’t shot until the premiere. Chris Hemsworth refused to play the straight man again. And Kirsten Dunst tried out a stunt for Spider-Man and wasn’t all that happy with the results.
