Cinestill 50D

My review for Cinestill 50D camera film. I shot the 35mm version. If you want to try out some high res scans of the negatives from Cinestill 50D, head over to my blog and feel free to download them at https://www.adaminsights.com/cinestill-50d-film-review/

I’ve tried out Cinestill 50D for some street photography during summer. This is a highly detailed, fine grain colour negative film with a lot of potential for post production with a broad dynamic range, and muted colours that can be adjusted to suit whatever you are looking to achieve in your photography. I like the way Cinestill 50D film lets me have a cinematic look to my photos, not unlike a Hollywood summer movie look and feel. Being daylight balanced, Cinestill 50D is a great film to take out on a summers day in your camera. I like how I can shoot with a very shallow depth of field with it and work with natural and available light. I’ve got an explanation of the red halo look to Cinestill 50D in the video, how the removal of the rem-jet layer makes it happen, and the effects that it may have on your photos that you may want to work with if you decide to shoot this film.
