Hero IDF commander sacrifices life to save Israelis during gun battle with Hamas militants. Israel has released intense helmet-camera footage of the gun battle in which a commander in one of its most elite brigades lost his life. Captain Tal Groshka, 25, of the Nahal Brigade, passed away on October 7 as Israel fought to regain control of its territory from Hamas terrorists. Cpt Groshka took eight men of the 931st Battalion to Sderot city to recapture it from Hamas terrorists who had overrun it that morning. They eliminated the jihadists, but he was shot in the shoulder. Cpt Groshka continued fighting, but died later in hospital. The Nahal Brigade is now preparing to enter Gaza itself. On a mission to hunt down and destroy Hamas and its fighters.
