Tesla Vehicle to Grid, also known as V2G or Grid-Tied Storage, will soon be possible. Jeff Dahn's million mile battery will be unveiled at Tesla Battery Day.

Tesla needed a million mile battery that could do 4000 cycles to make vehicle to grid happen. This is because Vehicle to Grid would double the number of cycles used, reduce resale value, and increase warranty claims.
