2016 Indian psychological thriller about a young boy Gaurav obsessed with meeting his Idol, whom he revers, Aryan Khanna.

The biggest challenge was to create a separate persona of Gaurav who is in his mid 20's, portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan, himself, who reprises the role of Aryan Khanna too.
The idea was to ensure the character could pass off as the protagonist Aryan in a few scenes, But in reality he has very different facial features and is also shorter by 2.5 Inches and more leaner & athletically built.

Nearly 1325 VFX shots were used to achieve the facial transformation of SRK to play gaurav
Besides the above, also shrunk SRK by 2.5 inches to play the character of Gaurav. For continuity single frames, almost 1800 VFX shots were created to provide a benchmark for the rest of the department.
Also used contact sheets for bifurcating shots as per lensing which enabled us to ensure continuity in the face mech and body shrink throughout the movie, which was an essential requirement as per the director’s vision.
This was a landmark project in Indian Cinema; as such intricate facial transformation work hasn't been carried out at such a large scale anywhere in the world. The project was delivered in a record 11 months, with Visual effects almost spanning the entire 120 minutes runtime duration of the movie.
