Flying over Rainbow Mountain - Peru

Taking off at 16,520ft and flying all over the Rainbow Mountain after a two hour hike to get there. It's an amazing place, and even more amazing from the air.
You are looking at layers of sediment that were formed about 24 million years ago, then when the colliding plates formed the mountains, it exposed these sediment layers made up of many types of minerals and rock.
These mountains were once covered in ice, then snow, and are now exposed most of the year. There are also locals working and living in the mountains here, its amazing to see that they follow a lot of the same ways that the Incas lived
