Meeting Moment: How Officers Respond to Social Disorder

Our Commission and City Council asked the @calgarypolice to focus on the crime and social disorder in public spaces. Over the past two years, significant work has been done in partnership with the @thecityofcalgary and other agencies to compassionately address the issue.

Our Commission recently received a report on the progress made and the ongoing efforts to change the behaviour of "high system users" that have frequent interactions with law enforcement and the justice system.

In this Meeting Moment, we heard about the need for better education on what officers do when called about social disorder.
