2018 Subaru WRX STI Review

Review of the updated 2018 Subaru WRX STI!

The STI is powered by a 305 horsepower 2.5-liter Boxer 4 engine. It's only available with a 6-speed manual transmission, and makes a combined 19 mpg. In addition, the WRX has AWD, which distributes the amount of torque through a driver-controlled center differential (DCCD).

The WRX has inverted-strut-type front suspension and double wishbone rear suspension, as well as active torque vectoring, electric power steering, and Brembo brakes.

The exterior has been updated for the 2018 model, with a bigger front grille as well as a rally-style hood scoop, LED steering-responsive headlights, 19-inch wheels, and a huge STI spoiler. A performance exhaust system is optional, but the standard quad-tip exhaust system still sounds pretty great.

On the inside, the WRX is very simple, with a real gauge cluster and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear shifter. Unfortunately, the build quality is pretty pathetic, with lots of cheap plastic.

Special thanks to Fitzgerald Subaru of Countryside! They have some of the best customer service I have ever experienced at a car dealership (and I've been to a lot of dealerships): https://www.fitzgeraldsubaru.com/
