500 years of tradition in research and education: The University of Halle offers more than 260 degree courses, a broad spectrum of subjects related to the humanities and social, natural and medical sciences. It is the biggest university in Saxony-Anhalt. Currently, about 20,000 students study here, taught by 340 professors.
