This year (2020) marks the 100th anniversary of the Deltrintem and Deltrentis binoculars manufactured by the Carl Zeiss company in Jena from about 1920. Since the production was stopped in the early 1990s, one cannot actually speak of a 100-year production cycle, but these binoculars are still present to this day. The Deltrintem/Deltrentis binoculars have been manufactured in different versions since 1920. A year after the German reunification in 1990, the plant of Carl Zeiss Jena was taken over by Bernhard Docter, who lent his name to the company and products. Docter continued the production of some Zeiss models (The Classic Series). These also included the Deltrintem, Deltrentis, Binoctem and Dekarem models. Docter went bankrupt in 1995 and, following a takeover in 1996, operates under the name of Noblex to this day.
