Deadliest Snake on Earth - The Inland Taipan

Few snakes are so widely known yet so little understood at the most venomous snake on earth, the Inland Taipan, or Feirce Snake
Also known as the small scaled snake this species is widely known to be the deadliest snake on earth, despite the fact it’s never caused a human fatality

The inland taipan was discovered near Mildura in Victoria in the 1870s and misidentified as a brown snake, with another two found in Bourke in NSW. It took a further 76 years before the this snake was rediscovered in the corner country of western queensland and officially described as a taipan, due to its close relation to the already studied coastal taipan.

Due to being the worlds most venomous snake, along with this interesting story of discovery the inland taipan has to be one of the most awe inspiring of all Australian snakes
