Boat naming ceremony! (I let our first video live, because we all start somewhere) [1]

Join us as we pray Poseidon to give our sailboat luck after we changed her name! (Bonus renaming tips at the end of the video...)

A year ago, we bought a Beneteau Oceanis 40 from 2007. The boat was named after her late owner, and as we were giving our boat a new life, we felt it was appropriate to give her a new name.

We named our boat "Polar Seal", after the nicknames Ryan and I give each other, and also because she was "reborn" in the Baltic sea, where we started our journey.

We browsed the internet in search of the best renaming techniques, and this is the result of our research. Special kudos to the dude who came up with the trick we tried to use at the end of this video.
