Foam board comes in a wide variety of thicknesses and sheet sizes. The most commonly used foam boards are 5mm thick.

The 5mm foam boards make a great material for making model planes. The airplanes can easily be cut out of the foam board sheets and then glued together with a hot glue gun.

The paper facing on the foam board makes it easy to decorate your models when they are finished.
