Maddox Blunt, Sophomore - Rowan County Senior High School Soccer Highlights

Maddox Blunt is a sophomore at Rowan County Senior High School, and is an extremely versatile player for Viking's Boys Soccer program. Blunt's versatility allows him to play a variety of positions; these positions include right-back, center-back, winger, center defensive midfield, and even goalkeeper!

Blunt started his sophomore season in the goalie box, filling in as an emergency goalkeeper when injuries plagued the Vikings prior to their first game. Blunt was very successful at this position, totaling 47 saves and two crucial penalty kick stops. Blunt helped his team achieve a 7-1-1 record while he was starting in goal. When the Vikings became healthy again, Blunt was moved infield, spending the majority of his time at the RB and CB position. With his field vision and anticipation for the ball, Blunt helped his team become 2A State Semi-Finalists as well as champions of the KY Boys 61st District.
