Since its 1933 film debut in King Kong, the Empire State Building observation deck is one of the most visited attractions in New York City - but is it worth it? Located in Midtown Manhattan, not far from Penn Station and Times Square, the Empire State Building is a 102 story skyscraper fashioned in the famed Art Deco style that opened in 1931 and even has its own zip code. It was the world’s tallest building for 40 years until the World Trade Center was built.
