How To Install ANY Ice Cream Sandwich ROM for the HTC Sensation

Hey YouTube! This is a tutorial on how to install an ICS based ROM for the HTC Sensation. This method will work exactly the same way for any ICS ROM because the process is the same however the Files will be different.

For this tutorial we Installed Virtuous Inquisition v2.0.1. The ROM and the Firmware was obtained on the XDA Thread and were supplied by the developer. Now each developer has his own version so make to sure to ALWAYS download the specified one.

The commands used in CMD in ADB mode:

1. cd XXX
XXX is the path where you have pasted the adb extracted files, most likely C:\adb

2. adb reboot-bootloader
Boots the phone into Bootloader Mode (White screen)

3. fastboot oem writecid 11111111
Converts your CID to 11111111, aka SuperCID

4. fastboot reboot-bootloader
Reboots back into Bootloader

5. fastboot getvar cid
It displays the CID, it should be 11111111, that means you have SuperCID

6. fastboot reboot
Reboots back into Android OS

YOU NEED A ROOTED PHONE TO FLASH A NEW ROM!

Boot Loop Fix:

First Turn off your phone. Once you have that done, take out the SD card and find a method of transferring files to it, so either with a Card Reader or with another phone, simply find a way because we need to access that storage!

When you have found a way, redownload the Firmware and ROM that you would need. After that place only the firmware in the SD card and boot your phone into fast boot which is Vol Down and PWR. Once in Hboot, it will find the Firmware image and request you to install it. Press Vol Up to install. After it has completed it will ask you to reboot. Reboot and now you will be stuck on the screen since you have no ROM installed. Wait for 15mins to ensure that the PG58IMG firmware has successfully installed. Now turn off the phone, connect the SD card and delete the image. When you have done that, transfer the ROM to the SD card, boot into bootloader mode again. Then access the Recovery. When you arrive there, do a Factory Reset, a Cache wipe as well as a Dalvik wipe.

Last step is to install from SD card. Look for the ROM, install it, reboot and the first time it might take up to 10-15min. Simply wait it out and then enjoy your new phone :)
