Mayor Paul K. Pernerewski, Jr. was joined by Congresswoman Jahana Hayes, former Mayor Neil M. O'Leary, and state and local officials to celebrate the opening of the incredible new Hamilton Park Pool, and the completion of eight new city playscapes.

The 13-million dollar investment into the Hamilton Park Pool and eight city parks was made possible through the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) stimulus package. These projects will significantly enhance our community's recreational opportunities. The city's two other outdoor pools at Washington Park and Fulton Park are currently under construction with a complete redesign and replacement, promising event more exciting improvements for our community. Congresswoman Jahana Hayes has aided the Fulton Park Pool replacement project with securing a 4-million dollar Congressional Direct Spending Award.
