"Nagasaki - Eighty Years Have Passed" - Original Song for Peace from NAGASAKI

I'm from Nagasaki and I still live here.
I composed and sing this song for peace.

The lyrics are shown on this video. I translated the lyrics into Japanese(Nagasaki dialect), too.

[Lyrics and Chords]

C G
On a summer day so still,
Am Em
In a quiet sky, no will,
F C
Suddenly, the world turned gray,
F G
But hope did not fade away.

C G
Eighty years have passed so far,
Am Em
From a time of deepest scar.
F C
Now the city sings with cheer,
F G
Voices full of love, not fear.

C G
Peace will shine again, we know,
Am Em
Like a flower soft and slow.
F C
Every heart, a light so kind,
F G
Leaving fear and hate behind.

C G
Smiling streets and children’s play,
Am Em
Laughter ringing every day.
F C
Tourists from around the earth,
F G
Feel the peace, the joy, the worth.

Am Em
We remember, not to cry,
F C
But to lift our heads up high.
Am Em
Nagasaki’s shining bright,
F G
Guiding all with gentle light.

C G
Peace will shine again, we know,
Am Em
Like a flower soft and slow.
F C
Every heart, a light so kind,
F G
Leaving fear and hate behind.

C G
On this day, we sing and say,
Am Em
Let the world choose love today.
F C
August sun and morning light,
F G C
Guide us all to what is right.
