Filipino Courage and Strength Through Tragedy is Beyond Inspiring...

Before I started this #BecomingFilipino Journey I spent a year coming and going from the Philippines in 2013. I just wanted to share one of my experiences in the Philippines after Typhoon Yolanda hit... I just feel it would give people a different perspective on some of the experiences I have had in the past here...

This is a pretty intense video, and very emotional for me.

I guess it is the only thing that hurts me sometimes in the Philippines, is knowing that natural disasters are going to happen here... but it is uplifting the strength and courage that people here show through even the worst of times.

I am so sorry for anyone who has ever been effected by events like this. If you ever have the ability... please do try to help one and other, it can truly make a difference.
