I WAS NOT EXPECTING A PHONE CALL FROM MY FILIPINO FAMILY IN CAGAYAN DE ORO TODAY...

But then I got one! Next thing you know I was off to my Tito and Titas house in Cagayan de Oro, Mindanao. It was actually a little birthday celebration, and I found myself surrounded by lots of Delicious Filipino Food. If you didn't know, I lived with this Filipino family for a few years in Cagayan de Oro. In fact, I lived with them for many months before I ever even started sharing on social media. They know me before #BecomingFilipino every existed!

It was so wonderful just making chika-chika, learning more words, eating all the Filipino food, and just living life in Cagayan de Oro.
