Mahouts (The elephant people)

The documentary, set in the city of Ahmedabad, follows a day in the life of a mahout - a person who takes care of elephants. The short film depicts how elephants are still an important part of the fast paced city life of Ahmedabad, given our religious importance. The protagonist, Avdesh Bhai Tivari shares his love for the elephant, who lives in the Jagannath temple. This documentary explores the love and attachment of a mahout and his life around an elephant.
