Britain’s New Sea Plan: A Northern Naval Shield From the Arctic to the Baltic

Britain is pushing for a new northern maritime security architecture in Europe — a naval framework built around the Joint Expeditionary Force, the Arctic, the North Atlantic, the Baltic Sea, and the growing threat from Russia.

This is not just another diplomatic format. The goal is to create a real operational mechanism: shared logistics, digital networks, common planning, interoperable fleets, ports, submarines, anti-submarine forces, coastal defenses, and maritime surveillance.

In this video, we explain why the United Kingdom wants to become Europe’s key naval coordinator after Brexit, how the JEF could evolve into a powerful northern maritime tool, and why Russia would face a very different operational reality if Britain, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania act as one connected naval network.

We also look at the most important question: why is Poland not included? Without Poland, the Baltic Sea component of this alliance may remain incomplete. With Poland, Europe could form a real maritime deterrence arc from the Barents Sea to Gdańsk.
