'MY BALLAD TO 46TH STREET' is a b-side from a maxi-single release off Elvis Costello's Elvis Costello album for me 'Now Ain't The Time For Your Tears'. The maxi-single was 'London's Brilliant'. Release: 1993.

I remember SO vividly writing this song and this period of time. It was before I had permanently moved to Manhattan and was staying at the Paramount Hotel on 46th Street. It was cold mid-winter, snow everywhere and I love NYC!!!! I had taken a taxi from uptown and had ridden through Central Park at E.79th Street and I remember staring at the park, the New York granite of the underpass, the magnificence of it all and feeling (as NYC always does to me) that I was so happy I could burst, that I was on top of the world....

The song is so beautiful! So joyful! And thank you to Adam Plausinaitis who is busy compiling ALL my b-sides!!
