What is this Workday Integration Tutorial all about?
Workday 1. The Enterprise Information Processor (EIP) is a tool used to extract data from a variety of sources and format it in a way that is suitable for analysis.
2. The EIP has the ability to create custom ID definitions, but does not have internal functionality to define them.
3. To create a custom ID definition, you can use the Sequence Generator with the Sequence Definition Sequence Generator.
4. The Sequence Generator allows you to define the incrementation and format of the sequence ID, including dynamic and constant characters.
5. The Sequence ID format can include elements such as date time, sequence, and constant or variable values.
6. You can include variables in the Sequence Editor by enclosing them in square braces, and dynamic elements are allowed by the sequence editor.
7. The Sequence Generator allows you to have dynamic elements included only for date time fields, including the sequence and date/time fields.
8. The Sequence Generator is case sensitive, so each dynamic element must be written in a specific format, such as using capital and lowercase letters.
9. You can incorporate dynamic elements, such as date or date/time, into the sequence ID format.
10. After configuring the Sequence Generator, it can be used to generate a dynamic file name based on the defined sequence ID format and dynamic elements.
