Gautami Deshpande is an engineer turned actor. Torn between what life has to offer against what you decide, Gautami was on the verge of quitting a promising career and moving back to square one, owing to an unsuccessful patch. Reconsidering the choice after getting a new perspective on failures, she was able to find happiness and peace. Any career path is bridled with uncertainty and change, the only constant is you.
In this talk, she explains the importance of striking the perfect balance between your hobbies and career. Due to the pandemic, this talk was pre-recorded on 25th October 2020 following the TEDx guidelines and presented on the 31st of October 2020, as part of the event, TEDxVIIT 2020. This talk was given using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Gautami began her journey as an actor by working in theatre. She started doing it when she was in college. She also won several awards for her acting while working in theatre at the time. She also was a participant in the popular inter-collegiate drama competition Firodiya Karandak and Purshottam Festival. Gautami Deshpande is also a really good singer, currently she is the lead actress of the famous Marathi show Mazha Hoshil Na.
