This video is a mock rescue; a skit designed to inspire empathy for the plight of Marine mammals across the globe, in regards to the effects of garbage in our oceans. Our club was nominated for the Red Cross Real Heroes Environmental Award for our beach cleanup volunteer work in 2018. The actors pictured are members of our beach cleanup group. Mendocino Mermaids is a Non-profit Beach Cleanup Organization.
