Welding and Path Offset In Inkscape - Glowforge

Quick tutorial on "welding" letters in inkscape and offsetting the path.

Please note that this was just an example to show the TOOLS used, this design has a few flaws (ie, the tittle..yes thats a word...over the "i" would not work on a laser cutter, as well as the C not being connected to the -hristina). The C would technically be welded/joined to the inner perimeter, but the rest of the name would be subject to breaking since its only connected at the end "a".

Also, I HIGHLY suggest looking into Illustrators capabilities. While Inkscape is great for a free tool, the interface and ease of use with OUT glitches is worth the $ alone.
