Design of an impeller start with the calculation of theoretical output based on simple calculation .
HP =KG _M.
1 HP =75 KG M.
30 HP AT 3 M = 30 X 75 /3= 750 liter pe second.
Area of flow is determined by a elicits of 4 m per second .
Area =750/0.4 =3000 cm2 .
velocity of impeller is equal to1.5 mhead per second at hub .And head at impeller tip is 4 times .
v=root of 2gh.
2x 9.81 x7.=root of 140 =11.7 m per sc.
Hub diameter is 40 percent of blade diameter .
Area of pipe = area of flow plus area of hub.
3000+25 %=3750 cm2 .
Diameter is root of 3750/pi/4=60 cm approx .
circumference of pipe =pi. D =188 cm or 1.88 m
speed of impeller =12/1.88=7 rps.
Rpm = 7x60 =420.Rpm
