The word is widely used in Persian and Urdu. The Arabic meaning of rosary is fasting. The literal meaning of the word fasting is abstinence. People of the Muslim community observe Ramadan fasting throughout the month of Ramadan. And the two words associated with this rosary are Sehri and Iftar. The followers of Islam take Sehri and Iftar very seriously during Ramadan.Sehri is an Arabic word. Sehri in Arabic means last night or dawn etc. According to the Shari'ah, sehri is the food of the last moment of the last night in order to fast the month of Ramadan. Eating sehri is considered sunnat and good deeds. During this time dates, fruits, milk, simui are eaten.
Then they do not touch any food all day. In the evening, the fast is broken by breaking the fast with food, that is, iftar. That is, the food that is eaten after sunset is iftar.If dates are not readily available then fasting can be broken by eating any sweet food or water. It is known that Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) broke this fast by eating dates and water. This has been the case since then.Kebab, Tikka, Biryani, Nihari are all stored in Iftar food. Shir Khurma, various sweets with milk, Khir, Firni and other sweet foods are also included in the Iftar list.
