Jesus Gives the Crowns of Revelation

WHY DOES JESUS WANT US TO DO GOOD WORKS?

We are not saved by good works. Many religions falsely teach you can be saved by good works. No one can be saved that denies Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Yet, we are saved to do good works. By doing good works and producing fruit after we are saved, we will receive many rewards in heaven from Jesus Christ.

Revelation 22:12-13 (NIV)
“Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to each person according to what they have done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.”

Matthew 6:19-21 (NIV)
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
