Stronger Together: Veterans Making a Difference

What an absolute privilege it was to be invited to the iconic Tower of London to attend the Veterans Can event.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of just how much good work is being done within the veteran community. Veterans Can continues to make a real difference, providing support, opportunities and a sense of belonging to those who have served.

I was proud to be there representing both The Old Paratrooper Podcast and Veterans for Veterans, two organisations that are passionate about supporting veterans, raising awareness around mental health, and ensuring that the stories and experiences of our community continue to be heard.

One of the highlights of the day was catching up with some incredible veterans from all backgrounds and services. It’s always inspiring to spend time with people who have faced challenges, overcome adversity and continue to give back long after their military service has ended. The camaraderie, humour and shared experiences are things that never leave you.

Too often we focus on the struggles veterans face, but days like this also remind us of the strength, resilience and positive impact that so many veterans continue to have on society. There are some truly remarkable people out there doing remarkable things.

A huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the event and to all those who took the time to stop, chat and share their stories. It was a fantastic day, and I’m already looking forward to the next one.
