My Lace Front Wig in A Christmas Story

This is all about my Lace Front Wig and why I left the lace long and loose on my forehead when I played Mother in A Christmas Story the musical. I could have glued down the lace or used toupee tape but I didn't do that. Why? What are common practices with lace wigs in theater? What hairspray did I use? Did I have to touch up the wig? BTW: I got this wig on Amazon. shhhh
