My dad disappeared for years and came back with a new family. You're probably wondering how all that played out. Well, let me tell you, it was a crazy experience. You probably wouldn't believe it. But trust me when I say it is 100% true.
I grew up as an only Daughter with my mom and dad. We were always happy, and always laughing. On Sundays we always had game night: we would play Monopoly, and Ludo, and Jenga. It was so fun. With my mom we would bake cakes - I really loved baking; and with my dad we would drive to a nearby lake and go fishing. I wasn't your typical teenager - I loved and respected them both. I wanted to spend as much time as possible with them. So it really came as a shock to me when my dad disappeared, only to find him with a new family. But I'll get onto that later. For now, let me rewind to when it first began.
My dad worked for this marketing company that moved its location around quite a lot. Instead of forcing us to relocate every couple of months or so, my dad would drive out to certain locations to complete his work. And, one night, he had a meeting several hundred miles away. He took his car, said goodbye to my mom and I, and headed off. He left really early in the morning, giving him ample time to reach the meeting, even if there was traffic.
My mom and I didn't really think much of it - he drove far distances for work all the time. But when nighttime came, and dad still wasn't home, we started to worry. We suspected maybe he got into an accident or something, or maybe he was lost. He was always home on time - this was so unlike him. Eventually, when the clock struck twelve, we decided to call the police.
