National Train Show 2019 Salt Lake City

The National Train Show was held in Salt Lake City in July of 2019. The National Train Show is held every year in conjunction with the NMRA (National Model Railroad Association) anual Convention.

The National Train Show® was established in 1988 by the National Model Railroad Association as a nationally sponsored combined industry trade show and public train show to promote the hobby of model railroading. The 2019 National Train Show was held in conjunction with the national convention of the NMRA in Salt Lake City Utah.

The NMRA is a non-profit corporation. It has a President and other officers and a Board of Directors. The Headquarters of the NMRA are in Soddy-Daisy (near Chattanooga), Tennessee, with several paid staff members. Many of the functions of the NMRA are performed by the Departments, which are staffed by volunteers. The NMRA holds a National Convention each year, and regions sponsor conventions in their areas as well.

The National Model Railroad Association each year sponsors a national convention in order to provide a place for the membership to meet to continue their association with the hobby in a common forum.
