Anjali is a lecturer of healthcare management and
entrepreneurship at York St John University and co-founder of ilove9months, an Indian start-up improving lives of mothers.
The short- and long-term effects of mental wellbeing during pregnancy shouldn’t be ignored as it has been proven to have clinical implications like high blood pressure and premature births in the mother, breastfeeding challenges, infant temperament, and resilience to stress in the child.
Not all factors affecting mental health are controllable, but many are. Rather than worrying about the uncontrollable, let’s focus on factors we can positively work on. All of us can play a part in this process and I will be giving actionable steps to
