AMA ‘very pleased’ to see the government investing in aged care
AMA President Dr Omar Khorshid says the Australian Medical Association is “very pleased” to see the federal government investing in aged care in the 2021 budget.
Over the next five years the aged care sector will undergo a major overhaul in a bid to reform the system with a $17.7 billion spending increase.
“We’re very pleased to see the government investing in aged care and although we certainly haven’t got everything we wanted, we have to acknowledge the extraordinary amount of money that they’ve put forward,” he said.
