In Kings and Chronicles He's Our Reigning King

Adonijah, David's son was seeking honor, and "made himself king" (1 Kings 1:18). He did it with his own strength and crowned himself, though it was not God's good pleasure for Adonijah to be the next ruler. So he was over-thrown, and his brother Solomon sat down in his place. The Lord brought "peace on all sides" (1 Kings 4:24) during Solomon's reign.

The story prove the words of Christ, "Those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted" (Matthew 23:12).

Before the earth began, because of pride Satan had an eye on God's throne. As you know his fall was great.

Likewise, many individuals exalt themselves to become rulers, while Jesus humbled Himself and became King.

Not once did Jesus sit on a gold throne while he was in the world. To demonstrate true leadership, He washed his disciples feet.

The one who went down to the feet now in heaven has the "earth as His footstool" (Acts 7:49). Christ that had his head pieced with a crown of thorns now has his head crowned in glory. What a king you and I serve.
