Building and installing 1/0 gauge Big 4 Upgrade on my 2011 Scion xB car audio build; DaSlapBox.
The Big 3 (or in my case, the Big 4), is an essential upgrade for any car audio build, that allows the alternator to charge the battery faster. This is necessary because aftermarket amps and other electrical accessories put a strain on the battery, and the wires connected to the battery from the factory aren't physically large enough to handle the draw (since they're only made to support the stock system).

The solution is to add larger diameter wires onto the existing ones that connect to the battery. I'll be using 1/0 gauge wire from Sky High Car Audio.
The usual Big 3 Upgrade:
+ Battery to Alternator
- Battery to Chassis
- Battery to Engine
On my car it's gonna be a little different because I'll also be installing a ground wire between the battery and alternator, in addition to doing a ground from the chassis to engine rather than from battery to engine (only because that's how my car is setup from the factory). So mine will be more like:
+ Battery to Alternator
- Battery to Alternator*
- Battery to Chassis
- Chassis to Engine*

Supplies:
Sky High Car Audio 1/0 cable
Sky High Car Audio heat shrink
1/0 Ring Terminals (5/16, 1/4, 3/8)

Tools:
Razor
Heat Gun
Cable cutter
Hydraulic crimping tool
