Unbelievably short takeoff by C-17 heavy

This was a serious military flight, not an opportunity for showboating at some air display.

The aircraft left on the short hop to its base at Brize Norton probably not much above its empty weight, but to get such a large 130+ tonnes plane (similar to a Boeing 787-9 and Airbus A330-300) into the air off such a miniscule run really took me by surprise!

It's built for short and poor-quality runways so certainly lived upto its design criteria on this occasion!
