Spanish Guy Making Perfect #Vermicelli #Upma !! using #Wonderchef #Chefmagic

Let's whip up some tasty Vermicelli Upma using Wonderchef ChefMagic! Here's a straightforward recipe to get you started:
Ingredients:
* 1 cup vermicelli (seviyan), preferably roasted
* 1 tbsp Ghee
* 1 tsp mustard seeds
* 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
* 1 tsp urad dal (or chana dal)
* 1 tbsp of peanuts
* 1 tbsp of cashew nuts
* 1-2 green chilies, slit
* 5-6 curry leaves
* 1 small onion, finely chopped
* 1/2 cup mixed vegetables, like carrots, peas, and beans (optional, but adds a nice touch!)
* 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
* Salt to taste
* 1 1/2 - 2 cups hot water
* 1 tbsp chopped fresh coriander leaves
* 1 tsp lemon juice (optional)
Instructions:
* Get the Wonderchef Chefmagic ready.
* Add the oil/Ghee. Once it's hot, Add vermicelli and let it toast. Empty the jar of vermicelli into a bowl.
* Add a tbsp of Ghee. Add the mustard seeds, cumin seeds. Let them splutter. Then add the peanuts, cashew nuts, urad dal and sauté until it turns light golden.
* Flavor Boost: Toss in the green chilies and curry leaves. Let the curry leaves crackle – that's when the flavor really comes out!
* Sauté the Aromatics: Add the chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent. If you're using veggies, add them now and sauté for a couple of minutes.
* Spice It Up: Stir in the turmeric powder and salt. Give it a good mix.
* Water Works: Pour in the hot water and bring it to a boil.
* Add the Vermicelli: Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat to low and gently add the vermicelli. Stir well to prevent any lumps from forming.
* Cook it Right: Cover the Wonderchef and let it cook on low heat for about 5-7 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and the vermicelli is cooked through. Keep an eye on it and stir gently once or twice in between. You want the vermicelli to be fluffy, not mushy!
* Finishing Touch: Once done, open the lid and fluff the upma gently with a fork. Stir in the fresh coriander leaves and lemon juice (if using).
* Serve Hot: Your delicious Vermicelli Upma, made with love in your Wonderchef, is ready to be served!
A little insight for you: Roasting the vermicelli beforehand (until it's light golden brown) can prevent it from getting sticky and makes the upma even fluffier. You can do this in your Wonderchef on low heat before you start the recipe.
