Magic sand science! How does Magic sand work?

What is magic sand? Nano sand is sadly not cursed or magical, but rather normal sand that has been coated with a special Hydrophobic coating! We get to examine and test the uses and properties of this cool toy and explain again the differences in polar and nonpolar molecules, and hydrophobic vs hydrophilic substances! (the secret is trimethylsilanol) As an added bonus we mix magic sand with oil and soap and show you the affect!

*NOTE* there are a few weird audio glitches in this one. That's on me, just remember water is a polar molecule and oil and trimethylsilanol is Non-polar.
