Feeling stiff and sore and uninspired at your desk? Work in short bouts of 5 minute movement breaks to help break up the repetitive (minimal) movement of a desk job. By getting the blood flowing we help our physical body to feel better, which frees up cognitive space to focus on our work and perform better rather that being distracted with how uncomfortable our aching bodies feel! This class is discrete and can be done in your chair, but remember that getting up and going for a brisk walk is another simple movement break you can take!
Remember, it doesn't matter what the poses look like. What matters is that you've shown up for yourself and that you're working with your body and where your current level is at. Abstaining from beating ourselves up for not being further along in our journey, but being grateful for wherever we are in our individual journey.
Appropriate for a variety of levels with the option to explore intermediate variations. Expect aspects of pranayama, bhandas, and drishti (breathing, body locks, focused gaze) as we engage in the moving meditation of yoga asana.
