In this clip, Morris Day discussed The Time coming back together as "The Original 7" because Prince wouldn't allow the group to record under the original name. Morris Day touched on how the band's album, 'Condensate,' was essentially doomed from the beginning thanks in large part to the name restrictions.
However, despite the personal and professional rifts that Morris Day and Prince continued to have he noted that their friendship was always genuine. He said they stayed in touch and whenever they were together any form of animus dissipated.
