Tire Slime - Does Green Slime Tire Repair Really Work? Tire Slime Put To The Test (Model 10008) So I was running my Snapper riding mower and I nearly went over a cliff because it wouldn't steer. It turns out the tire went flat as I was riding it so I decided to make this video.
In this video, I show how to put Slime into a Snapper front riding mower tire. I then test to see if the Green Slime actually works. Here is how I did the Green Slime test.
1. I put the slime in my Snapper front tire and rotated the tire.
2. I checked the pressure after one hour and added more slime to my other tire.
3. I checked the pressure again after 1 week of normal grass cutting use.
4. I checked the tire pressure a final time after 2 weeks of mowing and compared the two tires.

IMPORTANT UPDATE **** IT'S BEEN ALMOST 6 MONTHS NOW AND IT IS STILL HOLDING PRESSURE AS OF 2/10/20***** I am so glad I added this to my old snapper tires! Slime tire sealant really works! I was really surprised because I kept hearing that people said the stuff makes a big mess and ruins the tire. However, when it comes to my riding mower I really don't care and here is why. Mower tires are not the same thing as car tires. If the tire goes flat no big deal because I am only in my yard. It is not like I need a tow truck. Also, I have noticed that my riding mower tires with the green slime sealant have outlasted my new front mower tires! I love it because if I run over a thorn or something else it seems to fix itself. With a new tube that would not be the best way to fix a tire in that circumstance. Also, I find the green slime to be really easy to put in. All I had to do was deflate the tire and add the sealant. It was really easy to fix. I am really impressed with this tire sealant and I now highly recommend it now that I have put it to the test. I have been fixing riding mowers and small tires for over 10 years now and I am really impressed. I even put some of the green slime sealant in my GMC Savannah 3500 and it has been holding for over six months now as well. I should probably get that tire fixed now that I think of it but it worked so well I forgot about it. I will post another update about the tire sealant after 1 year.
