Qantas Rewards Flights to cost more

Ahead of a major frequent flyer shake-up this year, Qantas Frequent Flyer has now released more details on the upcoming reward seat pricing changes that will take place from 5 August 2025. That leaves just under five months to make new bookings at current reward seat prices before the increase.

In short, most Qantas Classic Flight rewards are increasing by 15-20%, particularly in premium cabins on longer routes. Shorter flights will see a minor increase of around 5% and lead-in Jetstar flights in Economy will decrease by 10%. There’s also one silver lining – Emirates will move from the Partner table to the cheaper Qantas table, so the points increase for Emirates won’t be as steep overall.
