2025 Budget | DA files court papers to interdict 2025 Budget VAT increase

The Democratic Alliance says it has filed court papers to interdict the implementation of the 0.5 percentage point VAT increase contained in the 2025 Budget.
The party's Federal Council Chairperson Helen Zille made the announcement today on the steps of the Western Cape High Court in Cape Town.
The budget was passed by the National Assembly yesterday.
The DA says the budget was pushed through without proper oversight.
