In this video I will show you how to add a domain to Google Search Console via DNS TXT record. Google will usually verify your website within a few minutes (but usually quicker than that).

Google Search Console is a very handy tool for any webmaster. It will allow you to add sitemaps, inspect URL's, manually add a URL to Google's priority crawl queue for faster indexing and view various metrics such as performance and coverage.

Additionally, once your domain has been added to Google Search Console, there are various free Wordpress plugins that you can add to your site that will allow you to view your Google Search Console stats right from your Wordpress dashboard.
