Blue Lagoon is under volcanic threat again. It remains in operation (as for February 6, 2024) despite the high risk of the 3rd volcanic erupton in the area. Due to the recent closures caused by 2 eruptions, Blue Lagoon´s and Iceland Governement´s losses are measured in millions of usd. Update from Iceland. At 06:26 - lava from January 14/24 eruption. At 06:30 - lava from December 18/23 eruption. At 03:54 - defensive berms to stop the lava flow. All drone footage by me.
