Daniel Adamson's first trip up the Weaver
The Danny, a twin-screw steam tug built for the Manchester Ship Canal was restored to working condition over the past few years, and now is ready for passenger service. The River Weaver hasn't seen traffic like this for awhile, so some dredging is needed to get the tug through, but unfortunately wasn't quite finished. It's all good though, as the Canal and River Trust tug pulls the Danny over the silt bar, and she completes her journey, joining the Steam Tug Kerne, to the Little Leigh Steam Gathering.
