Solving Systems of Equations Using the Optimization Penalty Method

In this video we show how to solve a system of equations using numerical optimization instead of analytically solving. We show that this can be applied to either fully constrained or over constrained problems. In addition, this can be used to solve a system of equations that include both equality and inequality relationships.

Topics and timestamps:
0:00 – Introduction
1:01 – Solving equality equations simultaneously (fully constrained)
21:42 – Solving equality equations simultaneously (over constrained)
35:16 – Solving inequality equations simultaneously
